Jan 20, 2009 Inauguration Day and Snow

It's Inauguration Day and we are having a major snow storm. School is cancelled and the snow has been falling quite heavily since the early hours. I've managed to clean house, do laundry and put away everything from Christmas. I've settled down by the fire to watch history as the new president is sworn in. There are an unbelievable amount of people on the mall in front of the Capitol to watch this. I have a thought that this is a very historic moment and we should all take pause and note the happenings of the day. Baxter has seen his first snowfall and he doesn't think much of it.
He wanted to go out, but it is only 24 degrees so he doesn't want to stay very long. We even tried a sweater that Kim gave him, but he didn't like that much. I took a few photos of the snow. It looks pretty much like it always does. Quite pretty and I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere.
